Auto Accident and Injuries on Hwy 292 in Vidalia this Afternoon

An auto accident occured at
approximatley 2:00 pm
this afternoon infront of
Friendly Foods on Hwy 292.
The driver of a white Ford
pickup failed to yield to
oncoming traffic and struck
a Blue Mazda 3 car on the
passenger side.
The driver of the Mazda,
Chad Durden of Emanuel County said the driver of the pickup was sitting still in a parking lot near him, when
the driver of the pickup gunned it and slammed into the Mazda. The Blue Mazda
was pushed some distance by the heavy impact of the White Ford pickup truck.
The driver of the white pickup was not injured but the driver of the Mazda
and the passenger, Lee Jones of Swainsboro, sustained injuries.
